The fast paced lifestyle and drug culture of the 70’s took its toll on Luna. On May 17, 1979, she died of an accidental heroin overdose in Rome at the age of 33. She left behind her husband, Italian photographer Luigi Cazzaniga and 18 month old daughter, Dream Cazzaniga. Her daughter is reportedly as beautiful as her mother and is now a professional dancer living in Italy. Dream has already worked with the likes of Kylie Minougue, Ricky Martin, and Lionel Richie. Her mother would be proud.
