R. Kelly took to Facebook to show how his friend of over 25 years burglarized R. Kelly’s Atlanta homes while he was on tour.
Kelly recorded himself walking through one of his Atlanta properties saying:
“This what happens when you let people too close to you, people you’ve known for 25, 30 years. This is what happens”.
On November 26, 2017, one of Kelly’s housekeepers arrived to clean his home and found the place ransacked. She notified Johns Creek police and R. Kelly’s team. Police were asked to check Kelly’s second Atlanta home, and found it was also burglarized.
According to reports, 3 men were seen loading up furniture and electronics, among other items, into several cars and vans leaving Kelly’s home. The men were caught and questioned by police. They reportedly told police that one of Kelly’s employees hired them to move and sell Kelly’s property because he was moving back to his hometown of Chicago.
Police got a warrant to search the home of Kelly’s employee, Alfonso Walker, where they reportedly found some of Kelly’s missing property there. When Walker couldn’t give police a valid excuse to why he was in possession of Kelly’s stolen property, he was told to turn himself in Tuesday.
He’s since missed that date and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
