Sherra, who divorced Lorenzen months before he was shot and killed, had a $1 million insurance policy on the NBA player, and reportedly spent $973,000 in 10 months after his death in a lavish spending spree.
That spree included purchasing two cars: a $32,000 Cadillac Escalade and a $26,000 Lexus; $339,000 for the purchase and renovation of a new house; $69,000 for furniture, and $11,750 on a trip to New York.
The man police believe to be responsible for Lorenzen’s death is 46 year old Billy R. Turner, who owns a landscaping business and served as a deacon for the last 10 years at Mt. Olive No. 1 Baptist Church in Collierville, TN, the same church Lorenzen’s wife attends.
Lorenzen’s wife not only attended the same church as Billy, she was also active in it, leading church service once in 2015. To say the two didn’t know each other, despite working alongside each other would be a far fetch.
