The 50 year old actress, who was once known for slaying the Oscar’s red carpet, has fallen short once again.
Halle Berry stunned the crowd rocking what’s being called “Whitney Houston’s last week of life wig”. While taking an admiral stand rocking her natural curls, the style didn’t go over well, with some fans saying it looked like a backwards wig.

Halle Berry’s hair even got its own Twitter page!
Despite the “wig” comments, Halle says it’s all her hair, while explaining her look to Ryan Seacrest on the Oscar’s red carpet:
“I was choosing between five Versace dresses this year and this was the winner. The dress is glamorous with a sense of romance that made me feel feminine and fresh.
With this look, I celebrate my natural hair by allowing it to be natural and free.”
Halle went to famed hair stylist, Castillo who cut off 5 inches of her hair and used $500+ worth of products to achieve this look, which took 2 weeks to make.
Now before, you go in on Ms. Berry, know that it is very possible for this to all be her hair. Natural Black hair is very versatile and we all have seen a naturalista stretch her hair farther than any wig ever could….
But Ms. Halle, next time go to a (Black) stylist who specializes in n atural hair, not someone who maybe sees one Black client every 6 months for a weave blowout.
Otherwise, this will be the result.
Kudos for rocking your natural hair, though!
