They say every 28 hours, an African American is shot by a police officer in this country.
Last night, it was Alton Sterling. This evening, another man was shot and killed tonight by police. 32-year-old Philando Castile was riding with his girlfriend Diamond Reynolds Wednesday evening when she was pulled over for a busted tail light.
While talking to Minnesota police, Castile told the officer that he had a firearm, but was licensed to carry the weapon. When Castile reached in his pocket to grab his wallet, he was shot 4-5 times. Diamond picked up her phone and began recording live on Facebook.
In the video, she details what happened. The officer still has his weapon pointed at Castile as he continues to bleed to death.
