Bill Maher made headlines for the first time in years after saying the N-word on live TV last night.
The 61 year old comedian and late night talk show host of HBO’s Real Time spoke with Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse. As the two joked about whether adults still dressed up for Halloween, Republican Senator Basse welcomed Maher to stop by Nebraska:
“I’ve got to get to Nebraska more”, said Maher.
“You’re welcome”, replied Senator Basse. “We’d love to have you work in the fields with us”.
“Work in the fields? Senator, I’m a house nigger”, Maher said before explaining his use of the racial slur, “it’s a joke”.
