Jeff Weaver, Bernie’s campaign manager, released a statement on the leaked emails proving the DNC sabotaged Bernie’s campaign:
“It was going to come out at some point. It was clear that this was going on.”
It’s important to note that reports of the hack were originally released last month, but contents of those emails were not revealed. It is believed the Russian government officials are behind the attack. Russian leaders have publicly praised Donald Trump for his views on American-European relations.

Trump has been curiously pro-Putin throughout the presidential campaign (Vladimir Putin is the President of the Russian Federation), And [Trump’s] campaign manager, Paul Manafort, once advised Viktor Yanukovych, the pro-Putin former leader of Ukraine.
Under Manafort’s leadership, the Trump campaign helped ensure that the Republican Party’s platform would not take a hard line against Russia’s activities in Ukraine.
It’s possible the contents of the emails were released to cause discord amongst Democratic voters to seal Trump’s win for presidency.
After losing to Hillary as the DNC’s official presidential nominee, Bernie publicly endorsed Hillary, biting the bullet to ensure Donald Trump doesn’t take the win. If Bernie had decided to run as an Independent candidate, the Democratic votes would be split between he and Clinton, whereas all the Republican votes would go to Trump, giving Trump the majority of votes for Presidency.
“I will do everything that I can to make certain that Donald Trump is not elected president,” Bernie told NBC back in April.
The leaking of the DNC’s emails angered Bernie’s supported, but Bernie pushes them to vote for Hillary:
“Our job is to do two things — to defeat Donald Trump and to elect Hillary Clinton,” Sanders said, adding later, “It is easy to boo, but it is harder to look your kids in the face if we are living under a Trump presidency.”
