“It was a Saturday morning,” she said. “I had went to him to go say ‘Good morning.’ I had hugged him as usual. I went to go lie next to him as I usually do. When I did that, he told me to go close the door.
He told me to take off my pants. Then he told me to come under the covers with him and he started caressing me”, the victim reportedly testified.
He then raped her, says the report, and ejaculated in her mouth. This became a regular occurrence, taking place a reported 4 times a week after school inside their Long Island home.
“We would have sex in his bedroom, in my bedroom, in the basement,” she said.
When the school year ended, Jelani began sodomizing the child, allegedly coaching her how to make the heinous act less painful.
“He used lubricant and told me to breathe properly and not to clench so it wouldn’t hurt so much. It hurt. I told him to stop and tried to push him away.”
The day her younger brother walked in on them, they were in the middle of the act, says the victim.
“[I] was on my forearms on the bed and my pants were pulled down”.
Jelani was also half-dressed. When her then 8 year old brother walked in on them, Jelani reportedly slapped the boy several times and told the boy he would be “sent away”, never to see his mother again, if he told what he saw Jelani doing to his sister.
The victim was allegedly sent to her brother to do the same, telling her brother not to tell their mother or they’d both be “sent away”.
The boy would later testify that when he walked in, Jelani and his sister were “touching private parts”.
