VH1’s favorite bestie Shekinah Jo is hosting The Real daytime talk show this week, and she broke down in tears while discussing how she was betrayed by her friends and ex-boyfriend, and how she’s attacked online.
Shekinah says she’s usually the friend who’s the most giving, willing to reach back and help put people from her community on. She later found out that a friend she hired betrayed her by saying Shekinah didn’t deserve the plarform she’s worked so hard to gain. Shekinah was also betrayed by her ex-boyfriend who sent videos of Shekinah “high off percocets” to the blogs.
Online trolls also brought Shekinah to her breaking point, when they went to The Real’s website and commented that Shekinah was too ghetto to host the show. Shekinah defends herself as a hustler, who’s as street smart as she is book smart.
As fun and relatable as Shekinah is, no one questioned her lack of education until her bestie’s husband went on the radio calling Shekinah an “education hater”.
