[AUDIO] Officer Says He Pulled Philando Castile Over Because His “WIDE SET NOSE” Reminded Him Of A Robber

The officers involved in the shooting death of Philando Castile of Falcon Heights, Minnesota have been identified as 28 year old Officer Jeronimo Yanez, who shot Castile, and Yanez’s partner, Officer Joseph Kauser. Both Kauser and Yanez are both 4 year veterans of the St. Anthony police force.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner released a statement, ruling Castile’s death a homicide. Yanez has been placed on administrative leave during the investigation. In the audio obtained by Minnesota’s KARE11, Officer Yanez notifies dispatch that he pulled Castile over because his “wide set nose” reminded him of a robbery suspect.
